The pattern lands on the table
Lit from directly above a surface, a perforated shade does not only glow - it throws what it is pierced with onto the table. Bone spreads it soft; slate gives you the edges.

Braided flex, shortened to your ceiling
The cord set arrives at 2 m with the ceiling rose and the lampholder fitted. Shorten it to the drop you want - about 750 mm above a table top is the usual answer.
LED only
Where the bulb matters most
Heat rises, and a pendant sits directly over its bulb rather than beside it. PLA softens near 60 C, so the 6 W LED in the box is not a preference here - it is the reason the shade survives. This is the family to never improvise a bulb for.

A pendant replaces the fitting at an existing ceiling point, which is electrical work. If you would not change a light fitting yourself, have an electrician hang it - it is a fifteen-minute job for one.

Which size should I choose?
The measurement is the widest part of the shade, which is how lampshades are sold and how they are shelved.
Small suits a bedside table or a shelf. Table is the one most people want and fits a standard table lamp. Pendant is wider and shallower because it is seen from below and further away.
If the shade is going on a lamp you already own, measure the widest point of the old shade rather than its height.
What does the colour change?
More than the look. The wall is 0.42 mm thick, so the colour decides how much light gets through it as well as what colour that light is.
Bone passes about 60% of the light and gives the softest, most even glow. Slate passes about 23%: switched off it reads as a solid dark object, and switched on almost all you see is the pattern itself. Clay sits between them and throws amber.
Choose bone or sand if the lamp is meant to light the room. Choose clay or slate if it is meant to be the thing you look at.
How does it attach to my lamp?
Every shade has an E27 ring built into it, printed as one piece with four spokes. E27 is the ordinary large screw fitting used almost everywhere outside North America.
It drops over the lampholder and is held by the shade ring, the same as a fabric shade. Nothing is glued and nothing needs assembling.
If you have no lamp yet, add the cord set to hang it, or the wood base to stand it on a table.
Which bulb, and why it matters
LED only, 6 W or less, and this one is not a preference.
The shade is printed in PLA, which softens at around 60 C. An incandescent or halogen bulb inside a shade this close will distort it. An LED runs cool enough that it never gets near.
2700 K is the warm white these are rendered and finished against. A cooler bulb will make bone look grey.
